Keurig K-Express (as well as Essentials Version)
In this review, I’ll now discuss the Keurig K Express. It’ll be my first in a long time. When I try to catch up on what’s happening with Keurigs in the 2020s, I see that the 2.0 model is being pushed aside in favour of sleekness and simplicity, along with the hassle of “proprietary pods.”
Although it has only been available for a year or so, I’m pleased to report that this model appears to be well-liked and well-received. As of this writing, there are over 8,000. Is this merely a honeymoon phase? We’ll see. For now, though, I’ll share with you everything I learned from this small treasure.
Characteristics
The coffee maker appears slim, especially when viewed from the front. If you like a little extra, its “strong brew” setting is fantastic.
Sizes
The height is 12.6′′, making it rather tiny (17.2′′ when completely opened).
It is 5.1 inches wide and 12.8 inches deep.
You may put a cup up to seven inches high underneath the drip tray if you take it off. The power cord measures 27.5 inches.
Included In:
I think this will come with a water filter kit as well. Of course, there is a one-year warranty and a quick start instruction.
A reserve
Its water tank holds forty-two ounces. A good mid-sized one that could last all day if necessary. That should give you about two to four cups a day. The rear and sides provide the best views of the water tank.
Drip Container
A tumbler or to-go cup can be conveniently placed inside thanks to the drip tray’s ability to slide out.
Controls and buttons
In the right corner are the buttons. These include power on/off, three distinct brew sizes, and a strong brew option. The three brew sizes are 8, 10, and 12. “Descale” and “Add water” are two examples of blue indicator lights.
The Essentials Type
You most likely saw the Essentials version if you saw a version that looked similar but had different colours. I noticed this model while I was in Walmart; as you can see, there are two versions: a turquoise one and a lovely vintage red one. Upon careful examination, I discovered that this is the “Essentials” edition. It has a slightly more linear shape, as seen below. The truth is, I prefer it.
When I open and seal the brew chamber, it seems sturdy. As you can see, it lacks chrome or glossy accents and has a matte appearance. The front buttons are soft and part of the front.
To illustrate the main distinctions between the two, I created the graphic below:
Customer Evaluations & Ratings for Keurig K-Express
Very favorable, in my view. Very unusual for a brewery that has only been in business for a year, and the rating looked to be rather good overall.”Great size” was mentioned in every positive review I read, and it turned out to be perfect for off-roading, camping, using in dorm rooms, offices, and kitchenettes. The majority of respondents nearly all agreed that the temperature was suitable, which is usually a dubious criterion when evaluating various brewer models.
When compared to “regular,” the majority of users who utilized the strong brew option enjoyed and preferred the taste. Particularly for those of you who drink tea (I know that’s crucial)
One item that individuals did not like was the remarks made about the missing water filter kit; this was undoubtedly an oversight, but it was insufficient to deduct performance points. In my opinion, the main issue is the volume of complaints over the incompatibility of the refillable K-cups they were using. It was difficult to determine whether or not this is a big deal-breaker because not everyone mentioned the brand they actually used, but I did conclude that using the proprietary name (My K-Cup) was necessary to guarantee success.
Some people commented that the buttons were “weirdly placed” (I agree, the corner is a weird place for those). I’m not sure if this was done to make the design as small as possible or if there was a mistake in the way it was done.
Advantages
- Good proportions
- Minor
- has a powerful brewing environment
- Adapts to tumblers
Obstacles
- With so many positive reviews, is it too soon to tell?
- Some individuals thought that different refillable K-cups were not a good fit.
You will need to purchase one of the “Essentials” if you would like a colour other than black, and only Walmart carries these at the moment.
Cost
Right now, it’s less than $100, which is fair in my opinion. when you take into account its size and functionality.
Conclusion
I like it, yet I would rather have the Essentials one because it’s red. It would be an excellent option for camping or living in a dorm. A tiny kitchen or kitchenette is also included.
